Embed: Checkout Rewards Extension

JeriCommerce provides a checkout extension that lets customers use their rewards directly within the checkout flow. Members can apply discounts without leaving the payment page — reducing friction and increasing redemption rates.

How It Works for Customers¶

The Checkout Rewards extension adds a dedicated section for logged-in members to manage their points before finalizing a purchase.

• Points visibility — Shows the customer's current point balance directly in the checkout interface.
• Reward dropdown — Lets customers choose from a list of available rewards (fixed or percentage discounts) based on their eligible points.
• Instant application — Once a reward is chosen and "Redeem points" is clicked, the benefit is applied to the order total in real time.

Smart Redemption¶

The extension includes intelligent behavior settings to simplify the experience:

• Most valuable reward — When turned on, the system automatically pre-selects the highest value reward available to the customer.
• Guest prompt — If a customer is not logged in, the block shows a prompt to "Sign in to redeem rewards" so members don't miss out.

How to Set It Up¶

Native Integration¶

This extension is available as a Shopify App Block:

• Checkout placement — Add it as a block within the checkout page, typically above the payment or shipping methods.
• Theme Editor control — Manage the block's placement and behavior directly within the Shopify Checkout Editor.

Customize the Look¶

You have full control over the messaging and functionality through the block settings:

• Section title — Customize the header text, such as "Don't forget to Redeem your Rewards".
• Balance display — Toggle whether to show the current points balance and upload a custom image URL for the points icon.
• Behavioral toggles — Turn the "Preselect most valuable reward" feature on or off to control how rewards are presented by default.
