This action gets a personal link where a customer downloads their loyalty card. When they open it, they choose between Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. Add it to an email, an SMS, or your own website to get more customers to install their card.

Each link belongs to one customer, so don't share it with anyone else. To get a single link for everyone, use a custom URL to download the loyalty card instead.

Set it up

Use the JeriCommerce Get Download Loyalty Card Link action in a Shopify Flow workflow. It returns the link to the next steps of the workflow, so you can use it right away, for example in an email or a customer note.

1

Add the action

In Shopify, open Flow, create or edit a workflow, and add Get Download Loyalty Card Link after your trigger.

2

Fill in the email

In Email, add the customer's email. Use Add variable to pick it from the trigger.

3

Use the link in the next step

In the next action, use Add variable and choose downloadPassUrl, the link returned by the action.

If the email doesn't belong to a customer in your program, the step fails and the reason appears in the workflow's run history.

You may not need a workflow at all: JeriCommerce can also save the link in each customer's Shopify profile. See Synchronize the download URL with Shopify profiles.

Klaviyo webhooks can only send data, not read it, so a webhook can't fetch the link. You don't need one: turn on Custom Fields in the Klaviyo integration, and JeriCommerce saves the link in every Klaviyo profile as jericommerce_download_wallet_pass_url.

Use it in any email or SMS with {{ person.jericommerce_download_wallet_pass_url }}. See Sync Custom Fields with Klaviyo to turn it on.

Request a token of type download for the customer, then build the link with it.

GET https://api.jericommerce.com/v1/programs/{program_slug}/customers/token?email={customerEmail}&token_type=download&expires_in=7d

Send your API key in the api-key header. See Authentication through the API. The response contains the token:

{
  "accessToken": "eyJhbGciOiJIUzI1NiIsInR5cCI6IkpXVCJ9..."
}

Encode accessToken in Base64 and add it to this URL:

https://jeri.link/{program_slug}/download?token={base64Token}

If you don't send expires_in, the link never expires. Always set an expiration that fits how you share it, such as 7d for an email campaign.

For all the parameters, the errors, and links that sign customers in to the Customer App, see Customer Tokens.

Build a ready-to-run request with your own values:
